Clannad is the debut album by Irish folk group Clannad. It was released in 1973 by Philips Ireland. It was reissued in 1982 under the name The Pretty Maid. In 1997, it was released on CD for the first time by Royal Records International again under the name Clannad, with a bonus track from 1975. The album features songs in both Irish Gaelic and English, including a cover version of Bonnie Dobson's "Morning Dew", as well as many traditional Irish songs. Clannad is an Irish musical group from Gaoth Dobhair (pronounced, Gwee-Dore), County Donegal, Ireland. Their music has been variously described as being folk music, new age, and Celtic. Clannad are Máire Ní Bhraonáin (Moya Brennan), Ciarán Brennan, Pól Brennan, Noel Duggan and Pádraig Duggan. Eithne Ní Bhraonáin (Enya Brennan), Máire's sister, used to be a member of the group in the early Eighties. The band won a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best New Age Album.

This is an original cassette, of Clannad's first album on Philips label. There is no year indicated, but according to Clannad's site it came out in 1973 when this album came out.
